The International Conference on Modeling, Simulation and Control of Discrete Event Systems is to present recent results in the field of Discrete Event Systems (DESs) by using various models and Petri nets tools. The conference will be held in Yilan, Taiwan, during March 13th-17th, 2017. On behalf of the organizing committee, we'd like to send our sincere invitation to all distinguished scholars and engineers. With the rapid development of transportation and manufacturing technology, researchers in all fields begin to discuss some new ideas connected with Petri nets. The challenge for the researchers and engineers is to deal with the planning, modeling, simulation analysis, verification, control, and control implementation of the industrial systems arising from various engineering disciplines, e.g., intelligent transportation and manufacturing. Petri nets were developed by Carl Petri as a mathematical tool to describe activities, resources, and system states. They have been used to model, analyze and evaluate control system’s behaviour. It will provide experts in those fields with an opportunity to exchange information and discuss new developments in this field. Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers.
